The group focuses on the identification of hazardous substances and processes in the environment using mobile analytical techniques, and on the collection of representative samples from solid, liquid, and gaseous matrices to determine hazardous substances and properties, followed by laboratory analysis of the obtained samples. We also engage in designing technologies for the disposal of hazardous substances in the event of accidents, environmental leaks, and at sites of attacks on critical infrastructure to ensure the protection of persons and the ecosystem.
Furthermore, we are involved in the design of proprietary detection systems and the mathematical modeling of ongoing processes and the dispersion of hazardous substances in the environment. An integral part of our work is cooperation with the components of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) to ensure the protection of persons and property.
