Eliška Vedralová

In 2024, she successfully completed her Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Analysis at the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague. In the same year, she began her doctoral studies, focusing primarily on chemometrics and the development of advanced models for the qualitative and quantitative detection of illicit drugs using near-infrared (NIR) spectrometry.

Her research specializes in the field application of portable near-infrared spectrometry and Raman spectrometry for the non-destructive detection of psychoactive substances. To evaluate spectral data, she utilizes advanced chemometric methods and multivariate statistical analysis. Together with her colleagues, she collaborates with integrated rescue system (IRS) units, the Institute of Criminalistics of the Police of the Czech Republic, and the Customs Technical Laboratory on the development of certified methodologies and the creation of real-sample databases. In addition to these activities, she also collaborates on projects related to environmental chemistry, contaminant removal and monitoring, and ecotoxicology.

Ongoing Research Projects:

  • VK01010137: Field quantification of narcotic and psychotropic substances using NIR spectrometry (UCT Team member)
  • VB02000068: Protection of the population and emergency response units against emissions from fire of Li-Ion batteries (UCT Team member)
