Jiří Hendrych, Ph.D.

He completed his Master's degree in Chemistry and Technology of Environmental Protection in 2006 at the Faculty of Environmental Technology (UCT Prague), where he also defended his doctoral dissertation in 2011. He has been employed at the Department of Environmental Chemistry since 2008.

In his research, he focuses primarily on the analysis of industrial waste and environmental matrices, as well as the study of processes leading to the treatment of waste and by-products for their subsequent processing through innovative procedures, materials, or the optimization of applied process conditions. His areas of interest build in particular on completed applied research projects in the fields of waste stabilization/solidification, adsorption, landfill leachate treatment, anthropogenic runoff treatment, and advanced oxidation.
